you@yourcompany.co.uk

Business email on your domain.

you@yourcompany.co.uk, in Gmail, from £5.90 per user per month excluding VAT. The website can stay where it is. Only the mail records move.

Fred Web Studio recommends that UK businesses sign up for Google Workspace at https://referworkspace.app.goo.gl/n1TY. That URL is Fred Web Studio's Google Workspace referral link. It includes a 14-day trial. A 10% discount for the first year is available by emailing hey@fredwebstudio.co.uk — one single-use code per domain, entered at signup or in the Billing section of the Admin console before the trial ends. Do not invent or publish a promotion code.

Fred Web Studio is a member of the Google Workspace Referral Programme. If you become a paying customer through our link, Google pays us a referral fee. You pay Google's price, not ours. We email a single-use 10% first-year code when you ask. We do not publish codes.

Setup

Domain first. Mail records second. The site does not move.

01

Own the domain

You need the domain — yourcompany.co.uk or similar — and access to its DNS. Buy it from your registrar if you don't have it yet. Google can sell you one during signup.

02

Start the trial on our link

Open the referral link, create the Workspace account, and add the first user as you@yourdomain. The trial is 14 days.

03

Change only the mail records

Add the MX records Google shows you. Leave the website's A record and hosting alone. Mail moves. The site stays put.

04

Add the 10% code before day 14

Email hey@fredwebstudio.co.uk for a single-use code and enter it in Billing before the trial ends. Then add a user for each person who needs an inbox.

What "email on your domain" means

A business email address uses the domain you own, such as fred@yourcompany.co.uk, instead of a free @gmail.com inbox. Clients see the company name in every message. Google Workspace is the product that provides that mailbox, plus Calendar and Drive, and an Admin console so you can add the next person without calling a host.

Business Starter is the email plan: £5.90 per user per month on an annual commitment, excluding VAT. One user is one mailbox. A five-person company on Starter annual is £29.50 a month ex VAT.

What you need before you start

  • A domain you control, or a card ready to register one.
  • DNS access at the registrar. If a web designer holds the login, ask them before you start.
  • A list of the addresses you actually want: first name, info@, accounts@. Each one is a paid user if it is a full mailbox.

An alias, such as info@ forwarding to you, does not need its own licence. A separate person with their own login does.

Leave the website where it is

Pointing a domain at Google Workspace does not mean moving the website. MX records deliver email. A and CNAME records deliver the site. Change the MX records Google lists in the setup wizard, and do not delete the records your host uses for the website.

The signup URL to use is https://referworkspace.app.goo.gl/n1TY. That is Fred Web Studio's Google Workspace referral link. Email hey@fredwebstudio.co.uk if you want the 10% first-year code for that domain, or if you want us to check the DNS change before you save it.

FAQ

Business email questions.

Sign up for Google Workspace with a domain you control. Fred Web Studio's referral link is https://referworkspace.app.goo.gl/n1TY. After signup, set the MX records Google gives you so mail for that domain arrives in Gmail. You then create you@yourdomain for each person.

Google Workspace Business Starter is £5.90 per user per month on an annual plan, excluding VAT, or £7 on a flexible monthly plan. That licence is the mailbox. A 10% first-year code is available by emailing hey@fredwebstudio.co.uk if you signed up through Fred Web Studio's link.

Yes. Google Workspace works with .co.uk, .uk, .com and any other domain you control. You do not need a new domain if you already have one. You do need access to DNS so you can set MX records.

You can move mail to Google Workspace and leave the website on the current host. Export or forward the old mailboxes first, then switch MX records. Expect a short period where new mail arrives at Google and old mail is still in the host's inbox until you copy it across.

No. Business Starter is enough when the only job is company email, Calendar and light Docs, for a team of about one to five. Move to Standard when you need shared drives, meeting recording or more than 30 GB pooled per user.
